Unfortunately, I don't know the location of the property but it was described as a lot of land in Minisink being the most northerly corner of farm which Isaac A. Van Bomel now owns, runs to R. A. Elmer's line, north along Van Bomel's lands then to Thomas Borland's line [Mortgage Book 45, p 562, Dec. 1, 1840]. Wm. P. and Charity Clark left Orange County and were living in Tioga Co. NY 1850. I don't know what became of the 3 acres. After Grandfather returned to Orange County, he was involved in numerous land deals. I don't know if he was clever speculator or one step ahead the the debt collector. I discuss his early years in my post New Lime for Sale, Just Burned, Minisink, NY published in October. http://barbsfam.blogspot.com/2016/10/new-lime-for-sale-just-burned-minisink.htmlBarbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06472717674114249067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1079195898952121326.post-57097643519183698562016-11-19T15:02:25.107-05:002016-11-19T15:02:25.107-05:00Barbara, You mention that the information you foun...Barbara, You mention that the information you found about your relatives came from the record of a Dr. Robert Shaw. Do you know where your relatives lived specifically in Waywayanda? We grew up on the farm that belonged to Dr. Shaw and I am trying to find out more information about him. This is my direct paternal line and I'm considering DNA testing to see what that will reveal.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13685929439552536188noreply@blogger.com
